Buying a spa is an investment, so we want you to choose the spa that is right for you. Before you decide which spa you want, ask yourself the following questions:
Where will my spa be located?
A spa can be located indoors or outdoors. If you choose to position your spa indoors, you will need to ensure you have adequate ventilation and access to the site. If locating your spa outdoors, you will need to consider the entrance to the garden, privacy and access to the maintenance panel.
How much space will I need?
You will need to leave at least one metre of free space around your spa to allow access to the maintenance panel. If your spa is set into decking, you should ensure that the decking can be removed for easy access.
Are Poseidon spas easy to install?
Yes. The spa simply needs to rest on a firm, level surface, ideally a minimum 6” of concrete. If you are installing your spa on decking you should make sure that the decking can take the additional weight. You will also need to install an electrical control box with RCD protection within two metres of the spa, in order to connect the spa safely to the electricity supply. This should be carried out in advance by a qualified electrician. Your distributor will arrange a convenient time to deliver your spa and can help with any technical queries.
I’ve only limited space - can I still have a spa?
If space is at a premium, then choose between a Janus and a Demeter. The compact Janus can hold up to four adults and the Demeter up to six.
What if I want a larger spa?
For a spacious spa which can accommodate up to 5 people, the Neptune offers the choice of three seats and two loungers. The Demeter comfortably accommodates six people, but for additional space per person choose the Zeus, which holds over 1900 litres of water. The largest Poseidon spa is the aptly named Hercules, which can seat up to seven people and comes complete with kinetic mood lighting and waterfall feature.
Which Poseidon spa is best for relaxing after a hard day?
All Poseidon spas can provide a relaxing spa experience, but for additional comfort choose a spa with a lounger. Loungers allow you to rest back, with your legs and head supported whilst the warm water bubbles wash over you. All Poseidon spas, except the Hercules, have loungers. The Janus, Demeter and Zeus all have one lounger and the Neptune has two.
Is performance dependent on price?
No. The Janus and Demeter are built to give excellent value for money and provide great jet performance compared to other spas in their class. The Neptune, Hercules and Zeus are all designed to achieve maximum massage effect from 55 jets powered by two main pumps. The price of all Poseidon spas reflects the quality of the build components and depends on the additional extras required.
Do I have to pay for extras?
Poseidon spas come with many features which other manufacturers would consider ‘extras’. The table below gives details.

Is there a warranty on a Poseidon spa?
Yes. The shell is guaranteed for ten years and the mechanical parts are covered for two years.
How much maintenance is required?
There is very little maintenance as our spas are designed with the UK weather in mind! Basic hygiene should be observed and you should check chemical levels at least once a week. The filter should be cleaned monthly.
Can I use the spa all year round?
Absolutely! The water temperature is adjustable up to 40°C, so is invitingly warm even on the coldest day and may be set cooler for hot summer days.
